PEACHY COUCH-TO-5K PROGRAM
Coach to 5K mixes walking with intervals of running. The running durations increase week on week until walking is removed completely.
By the end you will be able to run 5 kilometres, 3.1 miles, non stop!
You’ll take part in a group run once a week. The session will be around 45 mins to one hour.
You will also be given two pieces of homework; one to be a repeat of the run, the other to be a strength training session relevant to building running muscles.
Who it’s for
Females and males. Children under 16 must be accompanied by their parent. This program is suitable for anyone who’s fitness level is at a low point, is new to running or has ran before but lost their running fitness. Anyone returning to exercise from a recent injury, or who is postnatal and cleared for exercise by health professional.
If you have any lower body joint issues or pain in the knees or hips when you walk then this program would not be suitable for you.
Coach
You’ll be led by Jemma, (Instagram @the_peachy_pt) Qualified British Athletics Run Leader, group fitness instructor and Personal Trainer.
